 Bob Gentry Safety Town Park located at 15 Williams Ave.  Hamilton, OH.

 

Safety Town is a fun and interactive way for four and five and six to eight  year old children to experience safety lessons in a way that is engaging and enjoyable!  This program is offered free to the public.

 

This summer "SAFETY TOWN" will mark its 54th.. season as an asset to the City of Hamilton and the Butler County area.  Your child will be instructed in pedestrian, vehicle, school bus, dealing with strangers, gun safety, fire safety, internet safety and the last two weeks of the summer are for the 6-8 year olds with added bike rodeo training.

 

We offer weekly lessons with classes beginning on Monday and ending on Friday. The sessions include classroom instruction and driving Kettcars in a simulated village at Safety Town.  On Wednesday the children will learn how to occupy seats while on a  school bus. The Fire Department will bring a smoke hours and teach the children how to get out of a burning building and more of fire safety. We finish with a Graduation Ceremony on Friday.We encourage all parents to attend the ceremony.

 

Rain or Shine Safety Town is in session. If it is raining your child will go to Miami University, Hamilton Campus.

 

Safety Town is offered to children ages four and five who are potty trained and to 6-8 year olds for the last two weeks.

 

Safety Town is sponsored by the Greater Hamilton Safety Council and funded by the Lindenwald Kiwanis, Officer Bob Gentry Memorial Fund, City of Hamilton, Butler County Commissioners and ThyssenKrupp Blistein.  There will be NO REGISTRATION FEE BUT DONATIONS ARE ACCEPTED AND APPRECIATED (please see link below or visit our office).

 

Bring in or email the Registration form, Mail to: the Greater Hamilton Safety Council, 400 North Erie Blvd., Hamilton, Ohio  45011. Sessions are held from 10:00 a.m. till noon.  There are only 36 openings for each session for the 4-5 year old and 25 openings for the 6-8 year olds.  Sessions assigned on a fist come basis. Please call our office or email us to see what week your child will be attending and mark your calendars for that time slot as that will be the only verification you will receive from Safety Town.
